pulling out of the station.

well, the couch shoppers have it! after analyzing the poll, i decided to go  with the $30 tickets ($32.46 after surcharges- sorry!) that include a 17′ U-haul truck to drag back all your giant shit. i’m also working on scoring some snacks and other good stuff. but while i’m working out the details…

GO BUY A TICKET RIGHT NOW!

The most important thing to remember here is that if i can’t sell at least half of the bus by april 8th, i will have to cancel the whole trip. please don’t make me have to do the dance of shame! seriously, your mom loves particle board furniture, and this bus looks way comfy.  we’ll laugh, we’ll cry, we’ll morph into bona fide ikea hackers when we get home. it’s gonna be AMAZING.

I just ordered two tickets. I’ve never been to Ikea before and I’m really looking forward to this!

i’m so looking forward to meeting you! and ikea is the bomb. definitely go to the website and poke around in preparation. but they also have lots of things there that you can’t get online. it’s different every time!

Shall be ordering this weekend. Is 5 hours really enough time there?

5 hours is the perfect amount. just long enough to shop and eat, and just short enough to avoid the dreaded IKEA FATIGUE. that’s why the bus is so awesome. we can get all tuckered out at ikea, and then nobody has to drive home.

lemmie know if you want me to pick something up. i’m not getting anything big, so there’s definitely room for a billy in there for you!

Just don’t get the 2-dog combo. I learned, the hard way, that there’s a bathroom in the desk-and-chair and section.

lucky for me, i’m a vegetarian. lucky for you, ikea has a lot of bathrooms. perhaps i’ll issue a warning before we board the bus 🙂

Get the meatballs and make sure you have bites that include both meatballs and lingonberries. Heavenly.

i’m a vegetarian, but i usually have a jar of lingonberry jam in my fridge. and i always load up on almond cake at the cafe!

I am so upset because I can’t make it for the IKEA bus ride. I am stuck working and no one will swap shifts with me. I’ve considered calling out but we are low staffed that day because someone else asked for the day off ahead of me. 😦
