we came, we saw, we bought so much tupperware for $3.99. also, i got curtains, and i’m sure my neighbors are very excited about that. the inaugural IKEAbus tour was a motherfucking success and a half, and i’ve already got folks badgering me for the next go-round.
will there be another go-round? I HAVE NO IDEA. still recovering from the first, but definitely considering a 2nd… 3rd… and 4th… and trying to learn from my mistakes. while i’m figuring my shit out, please feel free to jump onto the mailing list, in the following ways: you can email me, comment on this here blog, or even hit up my formspring (that nobody has actually ever used).

I would like to be on the IKEA email list.

i want on that bus bigtime!!!!
sold! i have put you on the mailing list.
Put me on the list!! I’ve never been to Ikea! This is a crime in several states, I’m sure.

Totally going, not sure if I have anyone to bring with me so just 1 ticket for me. Yikes. I sound pathetic. LOL
tickets will hopefully go on sale tomorrow! i’m terrified to go down in flames, but you can’t win if you don’t play… right?
This is such a great idea. We go down often and fill up our mini-van, and you are so right, 5 hours in Ikea time is exactly like 15 minutes. I definitely recommend doing all your homework ahead of time–measurements, availability, etc. Wear comfy shoes, bring a camera (for all those inspiration photos) and write every item down as you browse. Don’t forget to stock up on pantry items, too, so save some budget room for those items at the end of your shopping. If you bring your own bags, you save a bit of money, too. Have fun! I’d love to be added to the list, too, just in case.
Great Idea! (Ikea/Idea…hmmm)
I can’t make it this time, but let’s do it AGAIN in December, when IKEA celebrates St. Lucia Day – my sister & I went a few years ago, & it. was. a. Blast!
everything i know about st. lucia day, i learned from the american girls doll kirsten. if saturday doesn’t go down in flames, ikeabus could certainly happen again. i’ll keep december in mind!
Hi all. It’s Tony the bus driver here. I just wanted to say thanks to such a great group. I hopeyou all will choose VIP Charter Coaches for all your future travel needs. Remember who loves ya!!
Peace,
Tony
TOOOOOOOOOOONY! thanks so much for stopping by! everyone had such a phenomenal time on the trip, so thank you again for everything you did. i was a huge success, and if i do it again next spring, hopefully you can drive us again. although hopefully, we will have better weather!
This is a *WONDERFUL* idea. I’m from the midcoast area, and I’d be down with a trip to Portland to catch a bus to do this if it happened again. Can you add me to your email list, and is this to be a semi-regular event (like twice a year or something?)
Many thanks!
Kim
